After last year’s Walktober challenge, are you ready to kick off this year improving your wellness and traveling the world without needing a passport, packing a suitcase, or boarding a plane? Join HSD in the second Worldwide Wellness challenge!

How does it work?*

Each day during the six-week challenge you’ll virtually visit a new attraction, earning points and pins as you record physical activity and healthy behaviors in a full-featured mobile app. In addition, you’ll answer fun trivia questions, learn about the places you are visiting, find daily tips, articles, recipes, and engage across interactive message boards. You will be able to track not only your daily steps, but your overall health and wellness activities, build meaningful connections, and practice self-compassion behaviors. This challenge will help build habits that will last long after your worldwide tour is over.

Can we form teams?

Yes! You can participate on your own or as part of a team.  But teams can challenge each other to build points (the group that averages the most points tops the leaderboard). There are also "Flourish Friday" challenges that can add bonus points.

Can we compete against departments and units?

Yes! This year, to make the challenge more fun, we are going to congratulate the department and unit with the highest total steps.

What is the goal?

The Worldwide Wellness goal is to aim for 25 points per week by recording your physical activity and your healthy behaviors.

Logging your daily activity is very simple!

You can use your favorite fitness tracking device or a Step Converter tool to easily track your steps and walking minutes. You can manually enter your scores when you sign in online, and also Convert your exercise minutes into steps! Simply multiply the number of minutes you participated in an activity by the number of steps indicated in the chart.
