WBGFN programs and activities are run by our members for our members. Our volunteers are members from around the world who dedicate their time, talents and energy to giving back. Volunteering at WBGFN is not only a great opportunity to use your skills and experience for the benefit of the WBG and wider communities, but also to learn new skills, enhance your professional development, and boost your social life. WBGFN volunteers work in an extraordinarily wide range of positions, from event organization and database management to branding and graphic design. Get Involved—Special Events Team
Special Events team volunteers organize both small events like Office Open Houses or picnics as well as larger ones like the Annual Dinner held in May. Due to the Pandemic, special events have been put on hold, but we want to stand ready to resume our gatherings as soon as the situation permits! Special Events team members work closely with the designated Executive Committee member and the WBGFN Coordinator to decide on themes, decorations, food and logistics. If you feel inclined toward planning, organization and conduct of such events please browse our job descriptions to find an event(s) that you would like to be involved with. We welcome your support.
