Dear WBFN Community,
This time of the year is particularly intense for World Bank families—many of us are moving, exploring and adjusting to our new locations.
We would like to invite each of you to join us and the FY20 Executive Committee to welcome the new members of our community, locally and globally.
You all know from experience how challenging these moves can be and how big a difference it makes for us and our families to be connected to other members with shared experiences, to feel welcomed, to have someone to talk to who understands what we are going through and to know that we are not alone.
We would like to thank you for being present to support each other. We cannot express how grateful we are to witness connections, build friendships across nationalities and cultures, and how lucky we feel in today’s world to be part of such a community.
Dear newcomers, thank you for joining our community, we are looking forward to getting to know you better and to learning from you.
Constant learning is one of the gifts of being connected to our worldwide community, with its wide range of experience. One of the goals of our organization is to foster and leverage mutual learning, to grow together personally and professionally.
In that spirit, the WBFN teams are launching the ‘fall’ activities. All together we are working to better Welcome, Support and Advocate for the WBG families.
