Dear WBGFN Members,
We welcome you to FY24, with a renewed spirit to engage and support all of you. As we start the summer, this is also an opportunity to unwind and relax with your families. Summer is always full of vibrant landscapes and longer days with time to travel, create memories and for some to relocate with families. For families that will be relocating from worldwide locations, we stand ready to welcome you. We have introduced new measures of support such as the “Tools to move” (TTM) https://toolstomove.org/, which would serve as an essential relocation guide for families. Our TTM website is up and running and is an excellent resource to help you prepare, transition and thrive in your new home.
As our community continues to grow, we would also like to share with you that Daniela Diaz Figueroa, has joined us, as a new Regional Connector for the LCR region. Her relocation experiences and positive perspectives would be highly advantageous in supporting the worldwide community. We will feature more about Daniela and her personal stories in our July article.
Our volunteers are always the backbone of our organization. Their dedication, commitment and drive are what propels us forward together. With that, we would like to welcome the new Executive Committee (EC) and Nominating Committee (NC) for FY 24 and wish them success in their work ahead. We would especially like to mention our two new EC members, Ana Rakic and Radu Bujoreanu as well as two new NC members Sulekile Moyo and Melina Pitaud-Laprevotte, who would be joining us this fiscal year.
In this FY, we are keen to provide more opportunities for the personal and professional growth of our members and to make our organization even more effective through your consistent feedback and ideas. Therefore, a huge thank you for your continued partnership and looking forward to working with you for the benefit of our community.
