The World Bank Art Program invites staff members and their families to apply to perform at the World Music Day Festival, a one-day celebration of music, culture, and community held at the Atrium of World Bank HQ in Washington, DC.
This event marks the closing of the 2025–2026 Piano Recital Series and celebrates the remarkable diversity of our global institution. We especially welcome performances rooted in world music traditions, the sounds, rhythms, and instruments of the many cultures represented in our community.
Who Can Apply
This open call is exclusively open to:
• Current World Bank Group staff members
• Immediate family members of World Bank staff
Performances may be solo, duo, ensemble, or group. All musical genres are welcome, with a strong encouragement for world music, folk, traditional, and cultural music that reflects the diversity of the World Bank community.
How to Apply
Submit the following by Friday, May 29, 2026:
1. A short video of your proposed performance (2–5 minutes recommended). This can be a recent recording or a new clip. It does not need to be professionally produced.
2. A brief description of your act: name(s), instrument(s) or voice, genre/tradition, and the piece or repertoire you plan to perform.
3. A list of your technical requirements. Note that only basic performance and audiovisual equipment will be provided.
4. Confirmation of your WB staff or family affiliation (name and UPI).
