The English Book Group meets monthly to socialize and discuss a book the members have read for the occasion. Books are mainly fiction, range from classics through recent publications, and are chosen by consensus from member suggestions. The main criteria are literary merit, and the potential for a stimulating exchange of views on topics such as love, war, art, religion, and politics. Members take turns to host meetings.
An update on our ELG group activities. From now on, in addition to our virtual book discussions on the fourth Wednesday of the month, we will also be meeting on the second Wednesday of the month, for an in-person restaurant lunch.
