One of our main goals this year is to increase the WBFN’s visibility within the WBG community. There are staff members who move to DC or a country office location and hear about us only one or two years later, missing valuable and critical support and resources for themselves and their families.
That’s why at the beginning of this month we are starting our campaign, Give Your Family a Head Start, which will include the deployment of “tent” cards in WBG cafeterias. Our aim is that all staff know about our services, and the many ways we can support them.
Becoming a member is easy! Visit our new website at www.wbfn.org to register. Applicants will receive an email notifying them that their request is pending approval from the Family Network. On approval, applicants will receive an email with information about how to log in, set their password, and other details. We strongly recommend that new members request a website account to access the addresses and details of private events, and to read some of our more personal stories of relocation
WBFN has a long history of supporting members in relocation. We are entirely made up of members who have experienced relocation many times, and understand as no one else, the challenges involved. We are in a unique positon to give staff and family members a real head start.
