Last year, the WBFN’s Book Project, which collects and ships books in English to school regions in need around the world, found itself with several boxes of books in French, and no destination for them. Fortunately, a very active Book Project volunteer, Maria Elena Anderson, was able to establish contact with the NGO Fleur de Vie, which was very glad to receive and forward the books to schools in Haiti. This is an example of a collaborate project involving Maria Elena and two French speaking volunteers who sorted and packed the donation.
