Dear Family Network Members,
Warm greetings from Washington.
In a world that continues to shift and challenge us in different ways, our hope is simple, that you and your loved ones are well supported, and find moments of strength and joy along the way.
Over the past month, many of you have engaged with the WBG/IMF Spring Meetings, whether in person or virtually. These moments of connection and learning matter. They remind us that while our roles may differ, we are all part of something bigger, and each of us has a place in shaping and supporting that journey. We also recently shared a snapshot of WBFN’s progress, from shaping our three-year strategy to the steps we are already taking to bring it to life. This is not just a plan on paper; it’s a shared commitment, and it’s already moving because of you.
Now, we look ahead.
Our WBFN Annual Meeting will take place on May 7th at 9:30am, and we would truly appreciate your presence, whether you join us in person or online. If you’re in DC, come a little earlier, grab a coffee, and connect. If you’re joining virtually, log in and be part of the conversation. This is your network, and your voice matters in shaping what comes next.
Another important moment: voting for the FY27 Executive Committee is currently open and will close on May 6th. These are members who have stepped forward to serve and carry this work forward. Take a minute to vote, it’s a small action with a meaningful impact on the direction of our community.
And then, a moment to celebrate.
Our Annual Dinner on May 21st will bring us together not just as colleagues, but as a community. It’s a chance to reconnect, to strengthen bonds, and to honor those who have given their time and energy to lead and serve. If you’re in Washington, we hope you’ll join us, it won’t be the same without you.
Our Global Connect newsletter continues to remind us just how wide and vibrant our network truly is. This month, we journey to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a city where the Indian Ocean meets unstoppable energy, and every street tells a story of culture, resilience, and rhythm. It’s another opportunity to learn from one another and feel a little closer, wherever we are. If you’re preparing for a move or transition, don’t navigate it alone. Reach out. We are here to connect with you, support you, and walk that journey with you.
As we reflect, one thing is clear: everything we’ve built so far has been because of you. Your time, your ideas, your presence; these are what make this network more than just a group. They make it a community, a support system, a family.
So, stay engaged. Show up where you can. Reach out when you need to. And continue to be part of what makes this network strong.
With gratitude and warm regards,
Joel and Milka
