Fellow Family Network Members, Greetings once again.
It feels like it was just a short while ago that we began the term of the FY26 EC. We set out with a clear mission - to refresh our strategy, make WBFN more accessible, expand our career support offerings, and strengthen our communications to better reach and connect our community. And now, as we come to the end of our term, it is incredibly fulfilling to reflect and see how much we have achieved together.
In our April article, we shared an overview of our progress, so we will not revisit those details here. What we do want to say, however, is a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing Executive Committee members and everyone who supported them along the way. We heard from all of them at the Annual Meeting last month and we would not be where we are today without their dedicated support volunteering to make our goals a reality. Our success reflects the collective support from the FY26 EC and their teams.
We are also delighted to warmly welcome the FY27 EC. Thank you for stepping forward with your time, ideas and enthusiasm. While the strategy provides a strong foundation, we know that you will bring it to life in your own unique and creative ways. We wish you a rewarding and impactful year ahead.
To our country office members, we are especially pleased to share that with the support of HR Global Mobility, your contact information is now being shared with us – making it easier for us to reach out to you and make WBFN resources more accessible. We are excited about the opportunities this brings for deeper engagement and connection.
This month, our Global Connect news team is headed to Singapore – an exciting destination with a vibrant WBFN chapter. We hope you enjoy reading these newsletters and learning more about the inspiring work and stories from our members in different locations around the world.
In addition, our monthly website article will focus on travel health – particularly timely as many prepare for holidays and relocations. This piece, authored by our PDP Health group, will be filled with practical insights we hope that you will find helpful. We all hope you have had the opportunity to fill out our survey on future health seminars. Please check our WhatsApp community postings.
Before concluding, we wish to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who attended our annual end-of-year dinner last month. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the culture of our global community, acknowledge noteworthy achievements, and recognize the commitment of our members, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Your engagement not only contributed to the success of the occasion but also continued to advance our mission.
As we close our term, we encourage you to extend the same incredible support you have given us this past year to the incoming EC FY27. Your enthusiasm and engagement have been at the heart of all that we have accomplished, and we look forward to seeing that spirit continue to drive WBFN forward.
