Smithsonian American Art Museum

Housed in the magnificent Greek Revival Old Patent Office Building, this museum takes you through American creativity from Nam June Paik's iconic video installations to the only complete presidential portrait collection outside the White House.
📍 Getting there: Metro to Gallery Place–Chinatown (Red/Yellow/Green), 2-min walk to 8th & F St NW. Parking garages on 8th St and H St NW.
☕ Coffee after at Maman — 750 9th St NW, Ste 101 (just steps from the museum). A charming French-inspired café known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious pastries.
