It is our distinct honor and privilege to announce the new Honorary President of the World Bank Family Network, Ritu Banga.
Ritu brings a deep passion to the job that is informed by her own experience and lessons learned over years. She has benefited from networks like ours and is eager to help us grow and better serve the World Bank family.
Although Ritu is official today, she has been serving as an ambassador from day one. Several of you have met Ritu in small groups, large gatherings, and one-on-one both in Washington and in Country Offices, and know the devotion she brings to our community.
We’ll all have an opportunity to get to know Ritu better in the years ahead. But our team sat down with her a few weeks ago for an extended conversation that we will share as a three-part series in our monthly newsletter, starting with Part 1 on October 15. Our conversation touched on experiences and issues that are familiar to us all. We will cover Ritu’s personal journey and evolution as a mom, wife, and professional, her perspectives on the significance of family support and community, and her vision for the Family Network’s future.
