As we step into May, we are delighted to share with you some important updates and exciting news.
With the fiscal year drawing to a close, we are presented with the opportunity to review and report on our accomplishments, and to participate in the election of our leadership. We would like to remind you that voting ends on May 14. If you haven’t already, please cast your vote HERE
Your participation in the Annual Meeting on May 15 is essential to gaining a comprehensive understanding of our programs, both in Washington, DC, and globally. This is an opportunity for you to express your views and influence the strategic direction of our network.
We are thrilled to announce the results of the World Bank Group Children's Art Prize 2025! This year's contest, themed "Building a Better World," drew over 750 entries from young artists worldwide. A dedicated jury of World Bank Group staff and art experts carefully selected the winners, celebrating the creativity and vision of our children. We invite you to explore the virtual gallery showcasing these remarkable artworks: Art Prize Gallery.
Congratulations to all the winners and to every child who shared their dreams of building a better world through art!
This month, we are focusing on Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and Youth. We recently concluded the insightful series "Navigating International Transitions and Raising Third Culture Kids (TCKs)" facilitated by Daniela Draugelis. Our May website article will feature takeaways from the series and offer additional resources for members. We hope these insights support you in your journey.
We are excited to announce our June article theme, "What is Home?," and invite members to contribute personal reflections, whether a short definition, a poem, or a video, to help enrich our community's understanding and connection. While our Regional Coordinators are working on this, a call from the Presidents can make a significant difference. Please share your thoughts and creativity with us.
Finally, we are delighted to invite you to the WBFN Annual Dinner on May 29th at the MC Atrium. The evening will commence with cocktails at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 7:00 PM. Join us to celebrate our achievements and foster connections within our network. More information will be forthcoming.
Thank you for your continued engagement and support. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community.
Warm regards,
Sandipa & Joel
