The drive, energy and focus required to bring a controversial program into existence needs a special kind of volunteer.

Volunteering fulfills several important goals for Gertrud, who is at the country office location in Ankara, Turkey.

There are people in need and it is the responsibility of all of us who are able, to help them where we can.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), held every October, annually spurs a surge in volunteering.
