WBFN is happy to announce Catherine Mathieu as the new WBFN Coordinator. Many of you have known Catherine already from her work as the WBFN Welcoming Chair (2006-2008), her participation on the MMMF Selection Committee, her involvement at her children’s schools, and her Batala Band performances!

Catherine moved from her native France in 1982 to Brazil where she met her husband and raised their children. She was a university professor there teaching econometrics when they relocated to Washington in 2004.

Catherine is known for her clear thinking, strategic planning, hard work and fairness, and these combined with her vast experience, multiple skills, talents, and, very importantly, great sense of humor, leave us no doubt that she is an excellent person for the position.
