The month of May signals us to get outside, plan for end-of-school-year-activities, organize our vacations, and enjoy a busy calendar filled with activities. It is a really busy time here at WBFN too! This month we have a lot of events lined up for our members. This issue is full of updates on activities, the upcoming ones and those recently concluded. The WBFN Annual Exhibition was informative, interesting and well attended; those of you who missed the event can get a glimpse of what went on from Annemarie’s article on page 14 and 15. Annemarie also brings you a write-up on our recent RC Workshop. We have had a spate of new babies at the Network, and we bring you a fun photo page featuring these stars of tomorrow. Our warmest wishes go to Aminata and Ratiba, the mothers-to-be (on the photopage), who will soon be bringing two new members into our Network. Also, most importantly, the bios of our Executive Committee nominees are featured in this issue, and the slate will be voted on at the Annual Membership Meeting. Be sure to go through the announcements pages, and remember to register for the Annual Membership Meeting and the Annual Dinner. For those interested, the MMMF Forum gives you an opportunity to meet this year’s recipients and encourage them; it is on May 18. The weather is generally favorable this month, so enjoy biking, hiking and other outdoor activities before the simmering summer heat begins.
